Clear Quartz

Crystal structure: Trigonal

Stone Group: Framework Silicate

Formation level: All, predominantly igneous

Affinities: LU/LR/SP/ST/KD

Chemical Composition: Silicon Dioxide

Cleanse in water. Charge with Hematite.

Clarity, awareness, neutrality, a firm standpoint. Strengthens perception, attentiveness, memory and understanding. Harmonizes the brain, nerves, glands and hormonal and water balance. Good for the skin, hair and nails.

Quartz strengthens the effects of other stones. They are excellent conductors of energy. They are the great harmonizers.

Hematite

Stone Group: Oxide

Formation level: All, igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic

Affinities: PC/LR

Chemical Composition: Iron oxide

Hematite requires no cleansing or charging. Its iron content has a descending effect. It draws energy down to the earth.

Vitality, liveliness, the strength for survival, commitment, progress. Supports the improvement of life’s circumstances and the realization of one’s own goals. Improves the absorption of iron, nourishes blood and increases oxygenation to cells and organs.

Hematite relates to Blood. Its affinity to the Pericardium supports the ability to protect and heal one’s self from the wounds of the world. It is highly charged due to its iron content, so easily conducts intention. It is like a sponge; it absorbs the nature of an illness.

Hematite is heavy. It is Yin, anchoring and draws blood and energy downward toward the pelvis and lower extremities.

Cleanse in running water. Charge in clear quartz.

Warmth, love, empathy, directness, sensitivity, sensuality, romance. Makes one aware of ones own needs. Strengthens the heart, circulation, supply of blood to the tissues, reproductive organs; encourages fertility in women. Helps with sexual problems.
